Cylinder ball hone is made of three parts:

• The center stem is made by twisting two stainless steel wires together
• The outward spreading part is made of nylon filaments, which are placed between the twisted stainless steel wires
• At the tip of each nylon filament is a ball-shaped abrasive material

The abrasive material usually has two options:

• Silicon Carbide
• Aluminium Oxide

The most common sizes of this product are:

• 3 inch diameter
• 4 inch diameter

The grit size can be customized. Available grit sizes include:

• 60#
• 80#
• 120#
• 240#
• 320#
• 500#
• 800#
• 1000#
• 1200#

Good Flexibility
This product has excellent flexibility. Because multiple nylon filaments are used as support, and nylon has high resilience, the honing brush can easily adapt to the inside surface of the cylinder bore.
When cleaning or honing a cylinder bore, it is recommended that the product diameter be about 8% larger than the cylinder bore diameter.

Customizable Mounting Method
The product is usually installed through the stainless steel stem onto devices such as:

• Electric drills
• Machine tools

At the bottom of the stem, a threaded shank can also be added for more secure installation.

Ball Size
For the 3 inch and 4 inch honing brush, the diameter of each abrasive ball is approximately 10 mm.
